Happy New Year!!!

2012 has been a roller coaster of a year! I have learnt so much and come a long way in just these 12 months. I have loved, I have lost loved ones, I have learnt who my true friends and I have worked my little ass off! Thank you to everyone who has taught me something important this year, good or bad, you have made me grow! I still have a lot to learn, so let's see what 2013 will bring!

21 lessons I've learned in 21 Years

I'm writing this because I believe that to get the best out of life, you need to constantly be learning and expanding your knowledge. I love to learn new things, I want to do better and be better. But I've realised that I have learned a lot though my 21 years of living. I turn 21 today and I have come along way.
Here's a list of lessons learned, mistakes that I may or may not repeat, and life lessons that have made me who I am today:

1) You cannot please everybody and you certainly cannot be friends with everybody.
2) The ability to be silly. Be a kid at heart.
3) Google has an answer for everything!!
4) If the milk smells funny, it's gone off! Don't drink it!!
5) Honesty is the best policy.
6) You will never know how far you can go, until you go.
7) Don't procrastinate or give excuses. What you do today, will be who you are tomorrow.
8) Do not compare yourself to others. You are you, and that is perfect.
9) Educate yourself. Read books. Knowledge is power.
10) Never give up. Never give in. Don't quit.
11) It's OK to be different.
12) Don't judge others. You don't know the battles others face.
13) Time heals.
14) If it's not meant to be, learn to let go.
15) It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. Fitness or weight loss does not happen overnight. It's a journey.
16) Make mistakes. Learn from them, try not to repeat them!
17) Take responsibility for the things that you do.
18) Showing emotion is not a weakness. But being weak is a choice and so is being strong.
19) Friends and the people closest to you will come and go. Some will come back, some won't. That's okay. Love the memories you had with them.
20) When people show you who they are, trust them.
21) Fear will block your way, love comes in many different ways, and you must never lose hope.

I just want to thank everyone that I love, who has taught me something important these 21 years. I have been blogging for a year now and 2012 has been the best year of my life! Although some terrible things happened to me,and to those around me who I love dearly, 2012 has been an amazing year. One which I will never forget. I still have a lot to learn. If I have learned anything, its that I know nothing at all. I may be wrong sometimes, and I look forward to the many life lessons left to teach me.

I Love VO5 products but this one is my favourite. I have very long, thick and wavy hair and this gives me great texture. It adds definition to my natural waves, to create a beach wave hair style. The pump applicator is also very good, and spreads evenly.

How I use this product: When hair is wet and damp from towel drying my hair I spray it evenly onto my hair, and then scrunch and twist my hair using my hands. I then leave to dry naturally or I blowdry it. VO5 Give Me Texture, does exactly what it says, and gives me great texture, a good strong hold to my waves and smells wonderful too!

I am a very lucky and happy girl, and received a Lancôme surprise by my boyfriend for Christmas!

Lancôme Hypnose is one of my favourite fragrances to wear, which sees me through the day and the night. I think I'm hooked on this fabulous fragrance!

Hypnose by Lancôme is an oriental fragrance mixed with both passion flower and vanilla orchid, which creates a warm and gentle feminine aura. It's creamy on the skin and gives a sensual and deep sensation, that will last you the whole day.  The design of the bottle is beautifully created in the form of a woman's silhouette, and the colour and sent of the perfume totally hypnotizes you. I am in Love. I cannot get enough of this perfume!

Lancôme's award winning lipstick, the Limited Edition Fall 2012 Collection: Replenishing and Enhancing Lipcolor - Bare Lip Sensation

L'ABSOLU NU, Rouge Resille, 313. 

My absolute favourite lipstick, classic and long lasting. This red lipstick looks beautiful against my olive skin, as the colour is deep, dark and dramatic. It has a lovely scent to it as well, which I love. It's a great colour for the autumn/winter season. I love the colour and it moisturizes well and I can use it to make my lips look glossy. I Love it and would definitely recommend it to a friend, if you're looking for a classic pin up red shade, then this is the one for you! I cannot express how much I love this lipstick! Go and try it for yourselves!

Overall I am very happy with my Lancôme giftset! Has anyone else tried these products, would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations!

New Year, New You?

It may be too early to be thinking about your New Years Resolutions and making plans for yourself, but why not make a start now? While January is only round the corner, and time is passing quickly, January 1st may not be the best time to start making changes. I say, why not start now? Today. Don’t wait for tomorrow or a Monday, or the New Year, because waiting until the ‘right time’ will only stop you from doing what you can achieve today.

If you have a resolution, for example, to get fit and healthy, go to the gym 4 times a week, and start eating healthily, then making a New Years Resolutions for yourself and not actually doing what you set out to do, isn’t going to help you. New Years Resolutions usually last 2 weeks max! And when you give up, and return to your normal life, it could lead to disastrous results, such as bad dieting, which will not only have bad consequences for your health but will leave you feeling like a failure. The best way to approach this is to make small permanent changes in your day to day life, which will have permanent results. So for this to work, you don’t have to wait for the New Year to come, start today.

To kick-start your life into gear and make a healthier you, follow these 5 simple steps:

1) To get a restful sleep make sure that before you go to bed, stay away from or turn off the TV set, Computer, Laptop, Phone. This will limit the distractions around you and let your brain unwind.

2) Get in 30 minutes of exercise a day, anything from stretching to running, will do the job in raising your heart rate and working up a sweat!

3) To wake you up in the mornings, blast cold water for 30 seconds after you have showered, as this will make you feel wide awake!

4) Take the stairs!

5) Eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day, (or more, there is no limit!) as this will give all the necessary vitamins and minerals your body needs.

If your New Years Resolutions are the same as last years, (or the year before that) and you find it hard to keep on track of the plans you make for yourself, then instead of giving up, follow these simple steps to a new you, by starting today!

High School Drama

Soooo, by now I have a good understanding of friends and aquaintances. I learnt alot about who my friends actually are, over the past few months, and who I can and cannot trust. But surely, other people know this too right?! I'm not about to reveal all my untold secrets to some random girl in my class now, am I? No! And I'm not going to invite myself along to something when i'm not even part of that friendship group, right? Right??!! So tell me why do some people not understand this and invite themselves anyway? You weren't invited for a reason, you are not part of this friendship group, you don't even know why are you inviting yourself along? Damn, giiiiirrrrl, get the message!
