Reading Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, and just thinking how much this is helping me. Most of the time I confuse pleasure with happiness. Pleasure is simply a process. Its developed from the activities that I enjoy doing such as reading, writing socializing and listening to music. These actions bring about pleasure. But pleasure does not equate to happiness. I'm not happy in life for the sake of having pleasure. This isn't what makes a pure happy life. Therefore i need more objective standards of happiness. I need to choose for myself to be happy and stop thinking of happiness as a destination, a goal to achieve, but rather as a journey.
